3Ts for Me: Trust, Talk, and Truth

Empowering Our Youth—One Conversation at a Time

At Chestnut A.M.E. Zion Church, we believe in meeting our youth right where they are—with love, faith, and real conversation. “3Ts for Me” is a bold, Spirit-led outreach program for middle and high school students that centers around three core principles:

Trust

We create a safe and supportive environment where students can build healthy relationships with mentors, leaders, and each other. Here, trust is the foundation for growth, healing, and community.

Talk

We give our youth the space and freedom to express themselves—freely and authentically. Whether it’s about school, family, faith, or peer pressure, we listen, support, and guide through real talk and open dialogue.

Truth

We lead with God’s truth. Our youth are encouraged to seek their purpose, identity, and strength through scripture, prayer, and faith-based discussions that help them grow spiritually and emotionally.

What We Do:

  • Monthly group sessions at the church
  • Real-life topic discussions led by trusted mentors
  • Fellowship outings (movies, retreats, service projects)
  • A safe space to ask questions and share stories
  • Support rooted in prayer, scripture, and love

Community Outreach – At Chestnut A.M.E. Zion Church, we believe in putting faith into action. Our community outreach programs include food box distributions and other initiatives aimed at supporting those in need within our community. We are dedicated to making a positive impact and sharing God’s love through service.

We introduce a Middle and High School initiative called 3T’s for me. The Third Saturday of each month students gather to talk openly to each other and professional leadership about issues they wish to discuss. Open to the public 12pm – 3pm.

Her dedication to preaching the Gospel and nurturing the spiritual growth of our members is evident in every sermon, Bible study, and community initiative. Dr. Washington-Williams is committed to guiding our church family with love, integrity, and a deep faith in God’s plan for us all.
